Last updated September 20, 2026. Short, because we keep very little.
What we collect when you scan
The store address you type, so we can read that store’s public pages. We build the report while you wait and send it to your browser. We have no database: we do not keep the address, the pages we read, or the report.
What our host records
The site runs on Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (time, page, IP address) to run the service and stop abuse. We use your IP address to limit how often one visitor can scan. We do not use these logs to identify you.
What we measure, and who helps us
Two services keep the site honest. Sentry is told when something breaks, so a failed scan or a payment that would not open reaches us without you having to write in. PostHog counts how often a scan, a checkout and a sale happen, so we know whether the thing works.
Both are told the store address that was scanned — a shop’s public web address — and nothing about you: no name, no email address, no payment details, and no profile of a person. Your browser type and the rough location your network reports are stripped out before the message is sent, so neither service is told them either. Neither company’s code runs in your browser and neither sets a cookie — the message is sent from our own server, not from your computer.
If you ask to be told about the app
The form at the bottom of the home page takes your email address and nothing else. We keep it in a private file only we can open, we send it to nobody, and we will use it once: a single message if and when the Shopify app exists. Neither Sentry nor PostHog is told it. Ask us at support@suspensionscan.com and we will delete it.
What we do not do
No advertising cookies, no selling or sharing of data, no sign-in to your store, no access to your customers, orders or anything behind a password.
If you buy a report
Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar collects your email address and payment details; we never see your card. We receive your email address and the order details so we can deliver the report and answer you. Polar’s own privacy policy covers what Polar holds.
If you email us
We keep your message so we can reply. Ask and we will delete it.
Your rights
